The public memorial, called a ‘celestial graduation’ to heaven by her family took place at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA. The memorial was more of a tribute with live concert feel. The singer’s brother Rev. Pedro Rivera Jr., officiated the service and led the pallbearers who brought in her red coffin and placed it center stage.

His words so beautiful and made us all cry. This wasnt a day to mourn her death, but to celebrate her graduation getting into Heaven.. The service and speeches were beautiful and heart felt and left me at peace. The performances were amazing. But the experience was one in a life time and unforgetable… God bless the Rivera family and Children.”
