This is an extraordinary story from Goias, Brazil. A five-year-old boy was able to walk away from a horrific car accident to help his injured Grandmother. The accident happened after an out of control car ran over his head and body. Spectators feared that the pair surely were dead after the car had hit them both.
However the boy pulled himself up with just minor injuries and ran towards Vilma (56) to help her, and waited for the ambulance.
Reports state that they were walking home from Joao’s school in Anapolis, Brazil when a Chevrolet was hit by a speeding Honda on a unmarked crossroad which then hit a parked VWGolf which veered to the pair at speed.
Seeing the split-second accident unfold just meters in front of them, the grandmother grabs her grandson’s hand and rushes quickly towards the pavement in an attempt to avoid the car, which is hurtling towards them out of control. Two wheels of the car ran over Joao’s head but the brave boy was released the same day. Vilma was allowed to go home yesterday with minor injuries. The incident was captured on CCTV it’s totally shocking and hard to watch.
It is unbelievable how they were not seriously injured but we are glad they managed to live to tell the tale.
