Lupillo Rivera opened up about his late sister, Jenni Rivera, and expressed that he feels her presence when he performs.
On Sunday, Lupillo performed at the NASCAR Autoclub 400 in Fontana and spoke with E! News.
“I feel her,” Lupillo said. “I’ve felt a heaviness on my shoulder, I’ve felt shadows around the stage.”
Jenni’s death was so sudden last December, and although time has helped the Rivera family heal a bit, Lupillo says there is sill an empty spot. Jenni Rivera Finally Laid To Rest
“It’s never going to be a complete healing” Lupillo said. “The pain and suffering will always be there. It’s my sister, somebody that’s not here with us anymore. There will always be an empty spot. Being as we believe in God and we know she’s in a better place—that’s our satisfaction.”
Lupillo stays optimistic and only asks for his fans and Jenni’s fans to keep her music alive.
“I hope the fans enjoy the shows I’m doing,” he said. “ And I hope they keep on supporting her image, her music, her personality. That’s all I ask for.”
