The Latin Grammy Awards did not start in the best conditions, but nobody let Mother Nature ruin the night! The 14th annual awards took place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The event coordinators canceled the outdoor carpet arrivals due to the rainy weather, but many people looked on the bright side!

The host of the award ceremony, Lucero, commented on the weather situation.

“I think the rain is a good sign,” she said. “It’s rare that it rains in Las Vegas. What happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas. So no one tell anyone it rained.”

The night started with a performance by Wisin, who performed “Que Viva La Vida.” Later, the audience got a special appearance from the new Miss Universe, Venezuelan Gabriela Isler.

Marc Anthony made the crowd go wild when he took the stage! Pitbull dedicated his performance of “Echa Pa’lla (Manos Pa’rriba)” to “all the Latinos in all the world.”
