Our SMH of the day is a rather sad one, as I am a strong believer that suicide is never the answer….As in the case of a 23-year-old man who announced his suicide and posted photos of himself with the weapon minutes before shooting himself in the head.
Reports revealed that Alexis Omar Balderrama Gutiérrez from Nogales, Mexico committed suicide after posting various photos with the handgun and messages to his loved ones.
Gutiérrez posted in Spanish “Ya no puedo mas amigos me rindo cuidense mucho sobre todo mi familia k la amo perdoneme ama y mi hijo” (translated) “I can’t do this anymore, friends. I give up. Take care of yourselves. To my family, above all else, I love you. Forgive me, mom and my son.”
His posting was followed by various comments by friends and family who were trying to reach out and give him messages of hope and others trying to call him.
Reports revealed that Nogales police found the man on his couch with a gunshot wound to his head. Prior to police’s arrival family members tried to revive Gutiérrez, unfortunately there was nothing anyone could do as he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Prior to his suicide Gutiérrez is reported to have been posting various messages which he indicated having a “rough week” and being depressed.
Gutiérrez leaves behind a young son and many family & friends members who cared about him. May he RIP.
