Great news for Latin Music, Romeo Santos has crossed over into mainstream charts this week with his album “Formula, Vol. 2” The King of Bachata Romeo is heading past 90,000 copies sold. This should see him in the top 5 in the Billboard 200 Chart. This will be his best week ever and will be the biggest Latin album since 2006.
The last Latin set to have a bigger week was RBD’s “Celestial,” which sold 117,000 in its first week (ending Nov. 26, 2006). The last male solo artist to sell more than 90,000 was Daddy Yankee, when his “Barrio Fino: En Directo” bowed with 100,000 in the week ending Dec. 18, 2005.
Romeo Santos is currently at the Number one spot on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs Chart with the Song “Odio” which features Drake Co Written by Rico Love.
